Pulmonary Disease Specialist
She completed her medical education at the Ankara Gazi University Faculty of Medicine. She began her residency at the Izmir Chest Diseases and Surgery Training and Research Hospital and completed it at the Kanazawa University Faculty of Medicine (Kanazawa, Japan) and the Ankara Atatürk Chest Diseases and Chest Surgery Training and Research Hospital.
In Japan, she conducted clinical and experimental studies on asthma and chronic cough with Prof. M. Fujimura at Kanazawa University. Her work was published in major international scientific journals. She led the first clinical studies on chronic cough in Turkey. She also received endobronchial ultrasonography training at Chiba University (Japan). Over the last seven years, Prof. Dr. Songür has specialized in functional medicine and offers a personalized follow-up and treatment model by blending evidence-based modern medicine with the functional medicine approach in her clinical practice.
